PANTERA RELEASE VIDEO FOR FIRST NEW SONG IN A DECADE
Last night at the Revolver Golden Gods Music Awards the world was given their first taste of unheard Pantera music in a decade. "Piss" was a track that didn’t quite make the cut to be on 1992′s Vulgar Display Of Power and had previously been forgotten. The song was unearthed by drummer Vinnie Paul as the band were preparing the 20th anniversary deluxe-edition of Vulgar Display of Power, which is due out May 15 via Rhino.
The deluxe edition of Vulgar Display of Power will also include a DVD featuring an unreleased live performance filmed in Italy in September of 1992, along with the album’s three official music videos for "Walk", "Mouth For War", and "This Love".
The surviving members of Pantera still show no signs of any kind of reunion. Vocalist Phil Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown still play in the band Down and drummer Vinnie Paul has his own separate projects. Rumor has it that there still remains bad blood between Paul and Anselmo regarding comments Anselmo made about deceased guitarist (and Paul‘s brother) Dimebag Darrell.
This December will mark the 9th anniversary of Darrell‘s murder.
